In order to be enrolled at Sumter Academy as a student, a child must meet all local and
state health requirements as well as any other requirements set by the Sumter School
Foundation, Inc.
Each applicant must be interviewed by a member of the Sumter School Foundation,
Inc. and at such interview a parent must be present and must likewise be interviewed.
Each applicant must be approved by the Board of Directors of Sumter School
Foundation, Inc. Sumter Academy does not discriminate due to race, color, creed or
sex. In some cases, there may be a waiting list for classes which exceed our
recommended student/teacher ratio. Students on the waiting list are on a first come
basis.
All students applying for admission in grades 7 - 12 are required to pass a drug test.
Random drug testing is also required on students in grades 7 - 12.
